Clément Perna, General Manager of the Normandy Hotel Paris

“As soon as I obtained my Bachelor's degree at the Luxury Hotelschool, I wanted to go fast and far, progress quickly, live new experiences. This then required the discovery of new cultures and varied professional environments internationally. For 10 years, I always went on an adventure, sometimes even into the unknown.”
Today General Manager of the Normandy Hotel Paris, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, Clément Perna, 31, began his professional career abroad, in 2012. He then settled in Colorado (US) at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort, in Guest Services, then in San Diego (California) at the Park Hyatt Resort Aviara, in F&B.
And after a short break in France, at the Hyatt Paris Madeleine, Clément “impatient to evolve even more”, returns to his international career. First as an F&B manager at the Hotel Le Telfair Golf and Spa Resort (Mauritius). But it is by joining the Spanish group Riu Hotels & Resorts, in strong growth, that Clément will give a real relief to his career, acquiring a strong experience both operational and managerial.
“With RIU Hotels & Resorts, as assistant CEO, I participated in the opening of two establishments, in Jamaica and then in the Bahamas, before being entrusted with the general management of the Riu Negril Hotel, in Jamaica, to carry out the renovation of this 5* establishment with 650 rooms. An extremely enriching experience, during which the group trusted me, which allowed me to progress and evolve very quickly.” After 10 years of international experience supplemented by Master studies in 2013 at a prestigious business school, Clément was ready to take the destiny, at the end of 2021, of the Hotel Normandy, the future flagship of the Machefert Group.
From his studies at the Luxury Hotelschool, Clément retains “very advanced preparation for working life. When students start their journey, the school has given us the tools to evolve favorably. We know the basics of all the occupations that make up the hotel and catering industry, an essential prerequisite for claiming to evolve into a manager position.”
