Etienne Haro, an internationally recognized luxury expert

Graduated from Luxury Hotelschool in 2003, Etienne Haro is now the Director of La Mamounia in Marrakech, voted Best Hotel in the World in 2018 by Conde Nast Traveller readers. A very prestigious new position after serving as Executive Director of Catering at Burj al Arab, Dubai, within the Jumeirah Group.
Winner of the Best Restaurant Manager Award in the Middle East in 2010, he is a recognized Food & Beverage specialist. Prior to joining Jumeirah, he served as sommelier (winner of the prestigious Ruinart Trophy), director of Pierre Gagnaire restaurant in Dubai, manager of luxury operations in the Middle East and Asia, as well as a drink consultant for famous airlines and chefs.
“Within La Mamounia, my goal is to write with our teams the future of this mythical establishment while being immensely respectful of all this century-old legacy that has been entrusted to us,” he says. “When you are almost 100 years old and still at the top, it is because we have been able to question ourselves and remain relevant. It is a state of mind that I want to keep while bringing my international experience of luxury and creativity to it.”
