Maxence Natter, 3rd year Bachelor student, internship Château Hôtel Grand Barrail

Set amidst the vineyards of the famous Saint-Emilion vineyard, surrounded by a 3-hectare park, Château Hôtel Grand Barrail is a unique property. It is in this 5* establishment that Maxence Natter carries out his 3-year Bachelor internship at the Luxury Hotelschool.
As a housekeeper in this sublime hotel with 46 rooms, Maxence has under his responsibility the management of the team of a dozen housekeepers under the supervision of the governess general and her assistant. “There is a great deal of versatility: managing the division of rooms between employees in the morning; meeting in the afternoon to prepare for the next day's arrivals with the reception department; management of the evening team that deals with the blanket service; orders for linen; search for new products to delight customers ...”
“It is a job where the human is paramount, especially in a small, very close team like the Grand Barrail. Ingenuity, responsiveness and a sense of detail are essential to achieve excellence and meet customer requirements. It is a great pride to be able to work in one of the few luxury castles in the Bordeaux region but also to have the confidence of my managers who leave me great autonomy and real responsibility.”
“The courses we take at the Luxury Hotelschool hotel school are very important, especially those on management and leadership. This allows me today to apply these theories in the field to manage housewives and collaborate in harmony with other departments. The seminars and experiences of luxury that we have the opportunity to live thanks to LH in the palaces also enabled me to acquire, before this internship, the sense of detail, rigor and seriousness required in the world of luxury as well as grooming and know-how, essential in the hospitality industry.”
At the end of his internship and after obtaining his Bachelor's degree, Maxence will continue at LH in Master with the final objective of starting his professional career as governor.
