Maxence Natter, Master student at the Luxury Hotelschool Paris
“Luxury in the hotel industry is the ability to offer guests a unique, magical moment that allows them to feel an exceptional emotion,” says Maxence Natter, a Master student at the Luxury Hotelschool. “It's also about creating the feeling of being at home and considered unique.”
After obtaining his Bachelor's degree in hospitality school, Maxence decided to continue his studies at the Luxury Hotelschool until the Master's degree in order to have “all the tools to be the manager of tomorrow in the luxury hotel industry. In the Master's degree, the programme focuses on management and leadership, and complements very well the practical training followed in the Bachelor's degree.”
At each stage of his schooling, Maxence carried out very formative internships, gaining a little more operational experience each year and increasing skills in various services: Catering at the Sentido Mikri Poli Atlantica in Crete; Reception at the Hotel California Paris Champs-Elysées; Human Resources at the Hotel Byblos Saint-Tropez; Housekeeping at the Château Hotel Grand Barrail.
“Having evolved in many different positions allowed me to be confronted with all the difficulties inherent in each department, with a specific perspective and complementary expertise. The courses we take at the Luxury Hotelschool are also very important, especially those on management and leadership, because today they allow us to confront our theories with the realities on the ground.”
Next step? A pre-employment internship from June to December 2022 at the Monsieur George Hotel & Spa Champs-Elysées Paris, as assistant governor general. “My long-term ambition is to become the manager of a luxury hotel. As luxury is constantly evolving in the face of the new demands of the last generations, I would like to contribute my vision to the hotels in which I will evolve.”
