On a Master's internship at the Plaza Athénée Paris

Welcome to one of the most iconic palaces in the capital. Avenue Montaigne, in the heart of the Golden Triangle and in one of the most chic and luxurious districts of Paris, the Plaza Athénée shines in particular with its majestic facade adorned with 1,900 red geraniums.
It is here, in this mythical establishment of the Dorchester Collection, that Lysia Soubielle carries out her internship at the end of her Master's degree in hotel management at the Luxury Hotelschool hotel school. “The Plaza Athénée is without a doubt the palace of excellence and tailor-made. It is a place where each person can thrive and let their creativity speak for themselves. Since its beginnings, at the foot of Avenue Montaigne, it appears in the distance as a fantastic fortress. Colourful characters, artists, designers... met there. The palace has also been, for more than a century, the absolute reference in French gastronomy.”
Within the Events Department, Lysia works in the “on site” service. “This is the department that is in charge of carrying out an event in the field with the other services. My main missions are to manage customer requests, offer them a tailor-made offer according to their expectations and prepare the event with all the services of the hotel or with external service providers. What I particularly like on a daily basis is the relationship with my colleagues and clients, always benevolent and attentive.”
After obtaining her Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management at the Luxury Hotelschool and waiting for her Master's in Hotel Management, Lysia felt ready to carry out her missions in such a prestigious palace. “The various courses and event scenarios such as the school gala or the after-work prepare students well to better understand the reality on the ground.”
In the short term, at the end of her internship, Lysia would like to integrate Plaza Athénée into a management position in event or communication.
